Erin Tobin Qualifies for Republican Primary Ballot in District 21 Senate Race
WINNER, S.D. – Today, former State Senator Erin Tobin announced she has officially qualified for the Republican Primary ballot in the District 21 Senate race after submitting the required number of petition signatures. Those signatures have now been certified by the Secretary of State.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the strong support I’ve received across District 21,” said Tobin. “I look forward to continuing to meet with voters and earning their trust. Together, we can support our farmers and ranchers, strengthen our local economy, keep rural health care close to home, and protect the way of life that makes District 21 special.”
Tobin previously represented District 21 in the State Senate for four years. During her time in the Legislature, she chaired the Health and Human Services Committee and served on the Agriculture and Natural Resources, Commerce and Energy, and Education Committees. Erin also currently serves as Chair of South Dakota Term Limits and sits on the Upland Outfitters Board.
Absentee voting begins April 17, 2026, and the Republican Primary Election will be held June 2, 2026.
