erin on the issues.

  • Agriculture

Agriculture is the backbone of South Dakota’s economy, and Erin is committed to protecting family farms and ranches because these issues affect her family, her neighbors, and her district. She’s a strong advocate for value-added agriculture, helping producers turn what they grow into more opportunities right here at home.

Erin has been a dedicated leader for agriculture in the Legislature, passing a bill to prevent communist China and Russia from buying South Dakota farmland and pushing for expanded local beef processing. A strong supporter of MCOOL, she’s been vocal about breaking up the beefpacking industry's monopoly and ensuring fairness for South Dakota producers.

  • Healthcare

Access to quality healthcare shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code. As a nurse practitioner who has worked in rural South Dakota for 15 years, Erin has seen firsthand the challenges families face in rural communities. That’s why she’s committed to strengthening rural healthcare by supporting local hospitals, investing in our workforce, and ensuring every South Dakotan can get the care they need close to home.

Erin has the experience and knowledge to lead on rural healthcare, keeping our communities alive and thriving. As a small business owner in healthcare, she understands the challenges providers face and the regulatory framework needed to improve access and strengthen local care.

  • Public Safety

Every South Dakotan deserves to feel safe in their home and community. Erin stands with the men and women who wear the badge and work tirelessly to keep our state secure. She’s committed to giving law enforcement the tools and support they need to do their jobs effectively, while holding criminals accountable, and keeping dangerous drugs off our streets.

It means making tough but necessary decisions, like supporting the construction of a safe, modern prison to protect correctional officers, expand rehabilitation opportunities, and reduce recidivism.

  • Education

Education is the foundation of opportunity in South Dakota. As a product of our public schools and a supporter of public education, Erin knows the value of great teachers and strong local schools.

Erin also believes parents deserve the freedom to choose the education that’s best for their children, whether that’s public, private, or alternative instruction. Erin is committed to empowering parents, supporting teachers, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed right here at home.

  • Economic Growth

Economic growth doesn’t happen by accident. Erin is committed to supporting both new and existing businesses by fostering an environment that rewards innovation and hard work.

Erin believes in empowering individual communities to attract investment and create opportunities for entrepreneurs. By strengthening local economies from the ground up, Erin is committed to ensuring that every community, from our small towns to our growing cities, has the opportunity to thrive.

  • Explore The Outdoors

South Dakota’s great outdoors are part of who we are, from hunting and fishing to exploring every corner of our beautiful state. Erin proudly supports the outdoor traditions and is committed to protecting natural resources, promoting tourism, and ensuring that future generations can enjoy the same wide-open spaces we love today.

Erin is an avid hunter and is also involved with Upland Outfitters, an organization that helps keep small hunting businesses thriving in South Dakota. These small businesses are family businesses, and she is dedicated to working with these families to keep tourism and hunting thriving.

  • Protecting Life

Erin is proudly pro-life and believes every life is a precious gift from God. She has always stood for the unborn and will continue defending the sanctity of life at every stage.

As a nurse practitioner and mother, Erin also knows that being pro-life means supporting moms, babies, and families after birth, ensuring they have access to the care, resources, and opportunities they need to live a healthy life.

She worked hard to defeat Amendment G in 2024 and will never stop defending life in South Dakota.

  • Role of Government

Erin believes government works best when it knows its limits. She supports a limited, transparent, efficient government that protects individual freedoms, spends taxpayer dollars wisely, and stays focused on its core responsibilities.

Erin knows South Dakotans don’t need more government in their lives; they need leaders who trust people to make their own decisions. She also knows that the more local control a community has, the better it functions, and the most local control is individual freedom.

  • 2nd Amendment

Erin is a strong defender of the Second Amendment and the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. She believes law-abiding citizens have the right to protect themselves, their families, and their property.

Erin will always stand with South Dakota’s hunters, sportsmen, and responsible gun owners, and she’ll fight any attempt to erode the freedoms that define who we are as Americans.
