Meet Erin

I am a Republican and a Family Nurse Practitioner. I grew up in southern Tripp County on a ranch. At a young age, I began driving tractors, herding cattle, and fixing fences with my family. The youngest of three, I was always tagging along and was given a job as soon as I was old enough. The first time I drove a tractor, my dad wired wood blocks to the pedals so that I could reach. Even though I was the youngest, I was given the biggest horse so that I could hold a cow/bull/calf while it was being treated. We all had to help out to get the daily work done, and the work wasn’t done until the job was finished.

As a fifth-generation Tripp County resident, I am passionate about agriculture. There is no better way to live and raise children than outdoors. There is no better way to teach kindness and responsibility than to take care of livestock. I want to help keep my neighbors and family in the Ag business.

Healthcare and public health issues are critical to a nurse practitioner. We must keep our children, grandparents, neighbors, and ourselves healthy. I want to help expand mental health services so that our struggling rural citizens can access the help they need. I will continue fighting for this in Pierre to make good healthcare measures available to us all.
